Who we are

The Growth Social Club (@thegrowthsocialclub on Instagram, thegrowthsocialclub.com) is run by Cosmina Sarbanescu, based in Romania. We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy.

What we collect and why

We only collect what we need to send you the free resources and our emails.

  • Your first name and email address, when you sign up for a freebie. We use them to send you the freebie, a short welcome series and occasional emails with Instagram growth tips and our products. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).

  • Your signup date, time, IP address and consent record, when you sign up. We keep these to prove you agreed to receive emails. Legal basis: legal obligation and legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(c) and (f)).

  • Your email activity (opens and link clicks), when you read our emails. We use this to see which emails are useful and improve them. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

  • Messages you send us, when you reply to an email or DM us. We use them to answer you. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

We never sell your data or share it for other companies' marketing. Our content and products are not meant for anyone under 16.

Tools that handle your data

We use a few trusted services to run The Growth Social Club. They only process your data to provide their service to us.

  • Sender stores our email list and sends our emails. Privacy policy: sender.net/privacy-policy

  • Gumroad delivers our free downloads and processes purchases. When you buy or download from Gumroad, Gumroad also handles your data under its own policy: gumroad.com/privacy

  • ManyChat sends automatic Instagram DMs when you comment a keyword on our posts. Privacy policy: manychat.com/legal/privacy

Some of these services are based in, or use servers in, the United States. When your data leaves the EU, it is protected by the safeguards GDPR requires, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your name and email for as long as you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you straight away and delete your details within 30 days. We may keep only your email address on a "do not email" list, so you're never added back by mistake.

Your rights

You can, at any time and for free:

  • Unsubscribe: click "unsubscribe" at the bottom of any email. This withdraws your consent.

  • See the data we hold about you, or get a copy of it.

  • Correct anything that's wrong.

  • Delete your data.

  • Object to or limit how we use it.

If you think we've mishandled your data, you can complain to Romania's data protection authority, ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro), or to the authority in your own EU country.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your data, we'll update this page and its effective date. For important changes, we'll tell subscribers by email.
